Today, a customer who was using UltraViewer remote support software on Windows XP encountered the following error message:
Could not load file or assembly 'System.Web, Version=4.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f711d5013a' or one of its dependencies
This error message indicates that the System.Web.dll file from the .NET 4.0 library was not found on the customer's machine, which could be due to a missing file error (normally, the System.web.dll file is available in the .NET framework on all machines).
UltraViewer instructed the customer to download the System.Web.zip file, extract it, and copy the System.web.dll file into the UltraViewer installation folder (usually located in C:\\Program Files\\UltraViewer), and the customer was able to successfully resolve the error.
Therefore, we are sharing this guide so that all UltraViewer users can resolve similar issues on their own.
